Elizabeth Nunez immigrated to the US from Trinidad after completing high school there.  She is the author of eight novels: BoundariesAnna In-Between, Prospero’s Daughter, Bruised Hibiscus, Discretion, Grace, Beyond the Limbo Silence and When Rocks Dance. Her memoir, Not for Everyday Use, will be published in April 2014.


Nunez is a judge for several national and international literary awards, including the Dublin IMPAC International Literary Award, and gives readings of her work across the country and abroad.  She is often keynote speaker at both academic and literary conferences. She is a Distinguished Professor at Hunter College, CUNY.
