Cheryl Mendelson is the author of three novels, a trilogy set in the Manhattan neighborhood of Morningside Heights. She also writes nonfiction about ethics, private life, culture, and law, including the best-selling Home Comforts, The Good Life, and the forthcoming Love’s Object, a book about marriage to be published by Bloomsbury in Spring 2015. Mendelson received her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Rochester and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She has practiced law in New York City and taught philosophy at Purdue, Columbia, and, at present, Barnard College. She and her husband live in New York City.
