Ilene Beckerman

Ilene Beckerman is the author of the internationally bestselling memoir Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which became the inspiration for a long-running Off-Broadway play of the same name. She went on to write What We Do For Love, Mother of the Bride: The Dream, The Reality, The Search for a Perfect Dress, Makeovers at the Beauty Counter of Happiness, and The Smartest Woman I Know.


She has written for The New York Times, the Los Angeles TimesLadies Home Journal, and many other magazines, and she speak to women’s groups and book clubs all over the country. She lives in New York City.
